    Located near the south bank of the Yarra River, the Royal Botanic Gardens is botanical sanctuary open to all visitors looking to enjoy the green scenery. The gardens consist of thirty eight hectares and houses different types of vegetation from all over Australia and the world. Entry is free.

    Canteen and barbecue facilities are available to enjoy lunch by the gardens!

    How to get there


    Wait at Tram Stop 13-Federation Square/Swanston Street, and enter any of the following trams:

    Route 3/3a tram towards East Malvern via St Kilda or
    Route 5 tram towards Malvern via Wattletree Road or
    Route 6 tram towards Glen Iris or
    Route 8 tram towards Toorak via Lygon Street & City or
    Route 16 tram towards Kew via St Kilda or
    Route 64 tram towards East Brighton or
    Route 67 tram towards Carnegie or
    Route 72 tram towards Camberwell


    Get off at Stop 20 – Domain Interchange/St Kilda Road, continue along St Kilda Road for 1 minute, and turn right to enter the Domain Avenue.
