The best way to spend a cool summers night in Sydney is snuggling up next to friends and family with a picnic, possibly a glass of wine at the Moonlight Cinema, illuminated by the twinkling stars.

Located on the lawns of Belvedere Amphitheatre in Centennial Park, the Maltesers Moonlight Cinemas screens a variety of movies catering to everyone’s interests. There are advanced preview movies as well as children’s movies like Frozen, perfect for a family night out! Contemporary movies like The Hobbit, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Saving Mr Banks are also shown, as well as the good old classics, like Breakfast at Tiffanys and Grease.

You can hire a bean bed at the screening for maximum comfort or bring your own low chairs, cushions, blankets and rugs. There is a wide range of gourmet food, this year the style of snacks are inspired by New York street food. If burgers and hotdogs aren’t appealing to you, bring your own picnic along!

If you’re feeling liking spoiling yourself, be sure to book a ticket in the Gold Grass area where you are served by wait staff and even closer to the huge screen with a guaranteed great view!

The communal atmosphere and outdoor movie screening embraces the Australian summer and is perfect for a night out. The Moonlight Cinema is closes on the 23rd of March so be sure to book a ticket to a movie on their website before they all sell out!
