Tasmanian food tour

You will be picked up from the airport and taken on a full day tour of the Central North This district of the North-West region that has so much on offer for foodies to explore. There is wine, cheeses. The venison farm lies in a tranquil setting in the foothills of the Great Western Tiers. See the hops growing and taste a unique brew of beer. We do a tour of the salmon/ginseng farm where you may even be lucky enough to spot one of the resident platypus as we wander around the property. You will see the most amazing varieties of honey, and stop in at a small goods outlet that do an amazing job creating delicacies made from the local farm produce. 

 

 

March 22st

Melbourne – Launceston

 

9 am

 

10 am – 5pm

Fly into Launceston this morning. Recommended flight arrival by 9am. Tour will depart Launceston airport at 10am.

March 24th

Launceston – Melbourne

 

Travel to Hillwood Strawberry Farm at Hillwood, where guests can sample wines and vinegars.

Travel to Yondover Dairy at Tunnel where guests will have the opportunity to taste Tassie goats cheese.

Visit Leaning Church Vineyard, sample cool climate wines

Gourmet Sauce Company at Evandale  - sample sauces  made from local fare.

Visit to a local potatoes farm that grows potatoes for fast food outlets, they will be harvesting potatoes at that time and guests are invited to watch the potato processing.

 

Drop off to the airport for your flight out.

Recommend flight departure after 7pm. Drop off at the airport scheduled for 6pm.
