Melbourne art tours

See collections that include paintings, sculptures and ceramics, installations and great photography and visit some of smallest and cutest galleries anywhere. Get up close and personal with the street art that Melbourne is world famous for. Our guides not only show you the art but tell you about the artists behind the art and the part 'tagging' plays in some of the laneways. Often our groups find art being created in front of their eyes as much painted during the daylight hours.

Join the tours from Sunday to Wednesdays where the focus is more on street art than the small laneway galleries that are best visited on other days. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, our groups access many of the small eclectic galleries to experience the fantastic contempory art that Melbourne is so well known for.

Housekeeping

All guides are First Aid Level 2 qualified but please notify us if you have any outstanding health issues. Some stairs are involved with the tour so prams and children under 13years can not join the tour sorry. Controlled pedestrian crossings are used at all times except when crossing small laneways where we look out for your safety.

Your tour usually starts from the NGV Studio near Russell and Flinders Sts, wanders through the city looking at around 15 hidden galleries, artist run spaces, street art and public art and great enjoy coffee at the end.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the tour starts on time. This is a walking tour so wear suitable footwear. It takes at least 2 hours and is available for a minimum of 1 person. Both the small galleries tour and street art tour commences at 2pm and are both available at the same price shown above.

We recommend you bring water on hot days and any tram tickets are included. A weather guarantee is provided whereby we will refund your tour cost if it is raining heavily at the start of the tour and such rain is still falling after 30 minutes
