Wanting to do something different in Australia to bring in 2014? Well this list of events may just help you!

1. Join in on some rooftop celebrations happening throughout Sydney city where you can bring in the new year with the best possible view of the famous Sydney fireworks.  Make the night extra memorable and impress your friends by planning ahead with some night photography classes.

After the night-time celebrations spend some time exploring Sydney as this is peak summertime in Australia and there is plenty to see and do. Spend a relaxing day visiting the beautiful northern beaches or get active with kayaking the famous Sydney harbour.

2. Would you like to bring in the New Year actually on the famous Bondi beach? This has become a huge event over the years for people who want something a little different from the fireworks over Sydney harbour. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat before you bring in 2014 then a restaurant recommended by one of our members is the bucket list restaurant which is situated right in front of the ocean so you’ll definitely not be late!

3. Love to celebrate your New Year in Melbourne? If so you could start in Sydney and then end up in Melbourne for New Years Eve on the Sydney to Melbourne 3 day small group tour. When in Melbourne you could sail down the Yarra river whilst watching the exquisite fireworks on a Melbourne cruise. Looking for somewhere to stay in Melbourne that evening? Why not try out Healesville holiday cottage, so you have somewhere lovely to wake up to for 2014!

4. Are you in Tasmania for New Years? If so a place to go that will be more lively and friendly than ever will be the taste of Tasmania, as it is their 25th birthday bash where there will be fire acts, stilt walkers and you are able to taste the locally produced wine, cider and beer. Tasmania is well known for its natural beauty and is truly a fantastic place to lay your eyes on.  See the splendour Tasmania has to offer and take a look around Australia’s Apple isle, it is a place that would be unforgettable to bring the New Year in.

5. Are you looking for a low key, local community feel this New Years Eve? If so the young family carnival in Port Macquarie will suit your needs, as you get to witness community/ sporting events and watch your children have fun on the rides and stalls. Not ready to leave Port Macquarie yet? Stay a little longer and start ticking off your all time bucket list.  Since it’s the height of the summer season a great activity for either yourself or the children is learning to surf, which I’m sure will start off your New Year with a splash!

6. Further north in Darwin, get to a family fun event on the waterfront where you and the children can watch spectacular performers and an impressive display of fireworks.

Whatever type of event you are looking for, Australia will surely cater for all.

Have a Happy New Year!
