Short advice on Australia Visa's for British Citizens, including a link to the Australian Immigration Service's application form.

The visa process is easy for British Citizens

Six hundred thousand British people a year visit Australia. The numbers alone tell you that the Australian visa process cannot be too challenging. And they are not!

Provided you don't want to work (business visits are fine), then a visit to Australia's Immigration Service website will suffice.  This is the best way to go about arranging your visa as it is absolutely free.

You can also get Electronic Travel Authority through your airline or travel agent although this carries a charge of AUS$20.

If the traveller is over 75 then please bear in mind that there may well be a requirement for a health check. Nothing to worry about but bear in mind that this process might make getting hold of the Visa take a little longer.

Once arrived in Australia, you may need to prove that you have the ability to support yourself whilst you are in Australia.

And as ever, don't forget to ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your stay!
